Tulamben is a small village located on the north-east coast of Bali, approximately 2.5 hours drive from the international airport.

Tulamben has one main street which runs parallel to the ocean, at the foot of 3000 m high Mt. Agung, Bali’s sacred landmark.  Mt Agung erupted in 1963, causing untold damage and suffering. That destructive act of nature also pushed the wreck of the  USAT Liberty, which had rusted away on the beach since 1945, into the water, thereby creating an industry which is now the mainstay of Tulamben – scuba diving.

Tulamben Wreck Divers Resort & Restaurant is closely associated with Tulamben Wreck Divers, one of the longest established, and most respected dive operations in Tulamben.
